The community effort to help out a Barnegat family whose son is battling cancer continues to grow, and this time, it’s kids who are taking on the task of raising money for 11-year-old Kyle McGetrick.

A group of Kyle's friends, neighbors and classmates have been running a drink and candy stand at the corner of Pennsylvania Avenue and Ravenwood Boulevard, flagging down passersby to raise money for the McGetrick family. They bought all the supplies they needed with their own money, parents said.

The kids joining in to contribute to Courage for Kyle were Jimmy Lynch, Michael Ravaioli, Faith Ravaioli, Alexis Hall, Chloe McEneaney, Sydney McEneaney, Molly McEneaney, Sydney Boyer, Britney Adams, Mary Toro, Christina SanGiacomo, Katelyn Thompson, Chris Marriott, Ryan Buckley, Kara Becker, Eric Becker, Kevin Becker and Andrew Becker.

Drive by and give them a wave and a donation.
